The PHAB FREEWHEELERS was set up in 1973 to provide social activities within the local community for disabled and non-disabled people. |
| Today, thirty-four years on, it is a highly respected organisation and attracts an attendance of 85 members at its main fortnightly meetings. |
| Its aim is to empower, enable and encourage people with and without physical disabilities to come together on equal terms to share fun activities and friendship. |
| Members chat, play games, go out, learn new skills and have a great time. |
| For everyone, the group opens doors to a wider life, wider friendships and wider opportunities to go to places and to do things they’ve never done before. |
